Spencer Korte, LLMSW
Spencer’s practice is built on the belief that the best predictor of successful therapy is a caring and trusting therapeutic relationship between therapist and client.
Spencer brings to Intuitive Therapy Partners a background working with adolescents in the Livingston County Juvenile Drug Treatment Court, as well as with adults with substance use disorders, mood disorders, and childhood/lifelong experiences of trauma. His approach is compassionate, empathetic and inclusive.
Spencer shares that “seeing clients begin to trust others, regain connection to their own feelings and emotions, and gain confidence about their ability to be seen and known by others” is at the core of his treatment philosophy.
Spencer’s areas of interest include depression, anxiety, life transitions, addiction and recovery.
Therapeutic approach is eclectic, incorporating strengths-based and trauma-informed tools, and utilizing aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
